Private Equity Associate – Real Estate | $100–120/hr | Remote (US)

Mercor is seeking experienced Private Equity Associates with a real estate focus to complete a short-term, high-impact financial modeling engagement. You'll build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack and peer-review models submitted by two other contractors on the same transaction.

What You'll Do

• Build a fully working financial model for an assigned real estate transaction using a provided synthetic deal document pack
• Deliver a polished, editable Excel workbook complete with live formulas, source references, and clearly stated assumptions
• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of evaluation criteria, providing a short written rationale and a completed review scorecard for each

Requirements

• 2–4 years of total experience: approximately 2 years in investment banking (Real Estate or Industrials) followed by 1–2 years in private equity
• Currently or recently an Associate at a real-estate-focused mid-market or upper-mid-market PE fund
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models from source documents without a pre-built template
• Fluent English communication skills

• Rate: $100–$120/hr
