Sr. Python Engineer (SOTA Agents) | Contractor | Remote – India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico

Turing is looking for a seasoned Python Engineer with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and state-of-the-art agent-based systems. This is a part-time contractor role (minimum 20 hrs/week) focused on building and scaling cutting-edge AI-driven solutions for frontier research and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based scripts and services for LLM- and agent-driven systems
  • Design, build, and optimize SOTA LLM workflows and autonomous agent architectures
  • Implement and maintain web scraping pipelines for structured and unstructured data collection
  • Analyze, debug, and improve agent behavior, prompt logic, and system reliability
  • Integrate LLM-based components into end-to-end application workflows
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability of AI-focused systems
  • Stay current with advancements in LLMs, agent frameworks, and applied AI techniques

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python scripting and development
  • Hands-on experience working primarily or exclusively with LLMs and SOTA agent systems
  • Experience with web scraping, data extraction, and preprocessing
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to code quality

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contractor (no medical/paid leave)
  • Duration: 6 months (adjustable based on engagement)
  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hrs/week with at least 4 hrs/day overlap with PST
  • Location: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Brazil, or Mexico

Evaluation Process

  • Technical interview with a live coding challenge focused on Python (60 minutes)
