Mercor is seeking an experienced physician with expertise in Ulcerative Colitis (UC) to lead the development of a high-quality physician survey for a specialized healthcare market research project. This is a focused, clearly scoped engagement ideal for clinicians who combine strong UC clinical knowledge with prior experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical research instrument design.

Key Responsibilities

• Review a detailed research brief covering target cohorts, research objectives, screening criteria, and key investigation areas.
• Develop a complete, physician-facing UC survey translated directly from the research brief.
• Craft clinically accurate, unbiased, and well-structured survey questions aligned with research objectives.
• Incorporate cohort definitions and screening criteria into the overall survey flow.
• Design questions covering patient segmentation, disease severity, treatment pathways, therapy selection, treatment switching, clinical decision-making, and unmet needs.
• Structure appropriate response options, scales, skip logic, and follow-up questions as needed.
• Adhere closely to provided survey-writing guidelines and existing templates to ensure format and style consistency.
• Review the final survey for clinical accuracy, logical flow, clarity, neutrality, and completeness prior to submission.

Ideal Candidate

• MD/DO or equivalent, ideally with a background in gastroenterology or a field involving direct UC management.
• Strong familiarity with the UC treatment landscape, including biologics, targeted therapies, treatment sequencing, remission, and real-world clinical decision-making.
• Prior experience writing healthcare or pharmaceutical market research surveys, questionnaires, or discussion guides.
• Background working with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare market research firms, medical affairs teams, or life sciences consulting organizations is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of survey design principles: neutral wording, question sequencing, response scales, screening logic, and bias avoidance.
• Excellent written communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail.

• A predefined cohort and screener section outlining participant inclusion criteria.
