Cybersecurity Expert (OSCP Required) at Mercor

Cybersecurity Expert | $100/hr | Remote (US, UK, CA, NZ, AU)

Mercor is seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to review and assess content for potential security concerns, focusing on pattern recognition and security analysis in a cutting-edge AI context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work asynchronously with a team of highly qualified cybersecurity experts
• Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability
• Apply cybersecurity expertise to assess content for security concerns
• Conduct pattern recognition and security analysis in AI contexts

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity
• OSCP Certification required
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, web security, and common attack patterns
• Experience in offensive cybersecurity, CTFs, or penetration testing
• Proficiency with Python and/or other data analysis tools
• Ability to interact with large databases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• High attention to detail and pattern recognition skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent proficiency in English
• Citizenship and current residence in US, Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
• Ability to pass an enhanced background check

Timeline:

This is a short-term pilot sprint in late February with potential to expand based on results. Exact dates will be confirmed closer to the start date.

Interview Process:

You will complete a short interview and questionnaire to assess your domain expertise. If hired, you will be paid for up to 1 hour of onboarding time, including the screening process and onboarding videos.
