Mercor is hiring board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians on behalf of a healthcare AI partner building clinical documentation tools. You will apply your emergency department expertise to review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation, shaping the accuracy, safety, and clinical usefulness of medical AI systems.
What the work involves
- Review ED clinical documentation and patient charts for accuracy, completeness, and clinical soundness
- Evaluate AI-generated ED summaries against what a practicing emergency physician would expect on arrival
- Annotate clinical encounter data against detailed guidelines
- Flag omissions, hallucinations, clinical inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output
- Provide structured, written feedback that engineering and product teams can act on
- Contribute expert input on annotation guidelines and edge-case definitions, and raise clarifying questions where guidance is ambiguous
Requirements
- MD with a completed Emergency Medicine residency
- Board-certified in Emergency Medicine with 2–3+ years of practice as a board-certified ED physician
- US-based
Preferred qualifications
- Prior AI/ML annotation or model evaluation experience
- Experience synthesizing patient charts into ED arrival summaries
Pay and schedule
Remote, part-time, hourly work at $150–170/hr. Flexible scheduling, designed around an active clinical practice.
