Project Manager II at Mercor

Project Manager II | $50–70/hr | Seattle, WA

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager II to plan, direct, and coordinate activities across engineering, research and development, financial systems, product roll-out, and other non-IT based projects. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate projects and create detailed plans to accomplish organizational goals while directing the integration of technical activities
• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders
• Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate team members while overseeing staff development and competence
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to assess project feasibility
• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
• Review and approve contracts, cost estimates, product designs, and changes
• Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare comprehensive project specifications

Required Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Deep knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost optimization
• Understanding of business management principles, strategic planning, and resource allocation
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
• PMI or PMP certification preferred
