Turing is seeking a skilled Technical Content Writer to produce clear, accurate technical documentation while supporting data-driven analysis using JSON, public datasets, and Python. This is a part-time contractor role requiring at least 20 hours per week with PST overlap.

Role Overview

You will analyze public datasets, extract business insights, and communicate findings through well-structured documentation, notebooks, and technical artifacts. You'll collaborate closely with researchers and stakeholders to translate complex technical findings into concise, actionable narratives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Produce clear, well-structured technical documentation and written deliverables.
  • Analyze public datasets to derive business insights and answer key analytical questions.
  • Explain reasoning and logic clearly in notebooks or other suitable formats.
  • Work with JSON-based data, ensuring outputs are accurate and well-organized.
  • Use Python scripting as needed for data exploration, validation, and reproducible analysis.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and traceability of methods, assumptions, and findings.
  • Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to refine insights and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a technical content writer, analyst, or software developer.
  • Strong technical writing skills — clear, accurate, and well-structured content.
  • Comfort working with JSON and interpreting structured datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data exploration and validation.
  • Familiarity with notebooks and scripting workflows for analysis and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of code quality, formatting, and documentation best practices.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen to draw and communicate meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Engagement Details

  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week, at least 4 hours/day with 4-hour PST overlap.
  • Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave benefits).
  • Duration: 3 months, adjustable based on engagement.
  • Eligible Locations: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Bangladesh, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico.
