About the role
Mercor is hiring computer power users and automation builders to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real productivity and automation workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve AI models. The role has clearly structured responsibilities, without the high pressure typically found in internships or full-time consulting roles. An immediate start is preferred.
What you'll do
- Complete and narrate real multi-app productivity and automation tasks on your Mac
- Create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
Requirements
- You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.
- Deep familiarity with macOS and its apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings
- Experience building automations with tools such as Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelors from a prestigious institution
- Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay and schedule
- $50-60/hr
- Part-time, approximately 10-20 hours per week
