Role Overview

As an AI Tutor - Legal Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in training next-generation AI models by leveraging your legal expertise to create high-quality training data. You'll work at the intersection of law and artificial intelligence, helping to improve model performance in complex legal domains while collaborating with our technical and legal teams.

What You'll Do

• Design and curate specialized legal datasets for AI model training, focusing on areas such as torts and intellectual property
• Collaborate with technical teams to enhance annotation tools and methodologies
• Contribute to writing assignments that help refine our generative AI models
• Provide expert judgment in labeling and analyzing legal content
• Partner with our technical staff to develop and implement new training methodologies
• Support quality assurance processes for AI training data

Required Qualifications

• LLM, JD, or PhD in a law-related field
• Superior reading comprehension and professional writing abilities
• Demonstrated research and analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to exercise independent judgment with limited information
• Passion for technological innovation and AI advancement

Preferred Qualifications

• Active law license in a US jurisdiction
• Previous AI tutoring or teaching experience
• Background in technical writing or professional journalism
• Experience in legal education as a professor, teacher, or tutor

Technical Requirements

• Computer capable of running Windows 10 or macOS BigSur 11.0+
• Strong adaptability to new technologies and methodologies
• Comfort with remote work tools and collaboration platforms

Location & Schedule Options

• Fully remote position
• Choose between:
  
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Part-time (up to 29 hours/week)
• Flexible scheduling available
• Currently unable to hire in Wyoming and Illinois
• No visa sponsorship available
