Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated People Operations and Development Manager to join our People team. This role is essential for overseeing day-to-day People Operations, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing key development programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR operations background, with expertise in compliance, employee relations, and talent development in a remote-first environment. This role requires a versatile professional capable of handling both operational and programmatic aspects of our People function.

People Operations Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR processes for onboarding, off-boarding, benefits administration, employee experience, performance, and compliance.
  • Partner with finance on payroll, perks, and personal changes to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage recognition and milestone awards programs, including inventory and vendor management.
  • Facilitate leave of absence requests with our HR partner, ensuring compliance with company policies and clear, empathetic communication.
  • Partner with Messari’s HR vendor to execute HR policies, processes, and programs effectively.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employees, providing guidance and support for work-related issues.
  • Represent HR to respective teams, providing consistent support and addressing HR-related inquiries.

People Development Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the successful delivery of Messari’s Analyst Program, including onboarding, performance, talent development, and the Alumni Network.
  • Evaluate KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify improvements, and recommend strategies to enhance program value and impact.
  • Provide guidance on career paths, skill development, internal mobility, and professional growth within the Research organization.
  • Assess and support training needs, conducting sessions to enhance skills for both managers and employees.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with the ability to interpret and apply employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in managing, negotiating, and building effective relationships with vendors.
  • Proven track record of establishing credibility and trust within a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Experience with HR platforms (ADP, Rippling, ChartHop, 15Five, and Greenhouse) preferred.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, committed to delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Salary Range:
$144,000 - $163,000, depending on experience.
