Role Overview
We are hiring a Sales Engineer to help design, review, and validate prompt-based questions for training AI systems. This role blends your technical sales experience with cutting-edge AI development. You’ll craft realistic prompts that reflect real-world sales engineering workflows—spanning solution design, customer engagement, and technical product support.

Whether your experience lies in SaaS, enterprise software, hardware, or manufacturing, this is a chance to apply your industry knowledge to build more capable AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and refine prompts focused on sales engineering tasks and workflows.

  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and commercial realism.

  • Ensure materials reflect the communication, documentation, and demo experience of a real-world sales engineer.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong background in one or more of the following:

    • Pre-sales support and technical product demonstrations

    • Writing proposals, specs, and solution documentation

    • Customer discovery and requirements gathering

    • Explaining technical concepts to varied audiences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or certifications in business, engineering, or product management.

  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, proposal software, or demo platforms.

Role Highlights

  • Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

  • Fully remote and asynchronous—work from anywhere, on your schedule.

  • Initial contract of 1–2 months, with possible extensions.

  • Role begins early to mid-July; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

  • Complete an AI-driven interview about your sales engineering background.

  • Write a prompt live and evaluate AI-generated responses.

  • Selection is based on performance and accuracy of evaluations.

Compensation and Legal

  • Hourly contractor position.

  • Paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
