Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to engage healthcare administration professionals in training cutting-edge AI systems. This full-time remote opportunity combines your expertise in healthcare operations with innovative AI development.
Role Overview
As an AI Healthcare and Administration Data Specialist, you'll apply your knowledge of patient care coordination, medical billing, administrative workflows, and healthcare operations to develop AI models that accurately understand real-world healthcare systems. You'll work with technical teams to refine annotation tools, curate datasets, and contribute to model training processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to healthcare and administration using proprietary software
- Deliver high-quality curated data for projects involving patient care coordination, billing, and operational workflows
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and improve annotation tools and task structures
- Support AI system development through expert feedback and analysis
- Select and analyze complex administrative and healthcare problems to improve model accuracy
- Execute evolving task instructions with precision, consistency, and adaptability
Ideal Qualifications
- Professional experience in healthcare administration, medical office management, health services coordination, or administrative operations
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions with limited data
- Deep interest in innovation and technological progress within healthcare operations
Preferred Backgrounds
- Relevant certification such as Certified Medical Manager (CMM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM), or equivalent
- Experience mentoring or training others in healthcare administration
- Familiarity with AI model training or data annotation workflows
- Comfort with text, audio, or video-based data collection
Work Details
- Fully remote position (US-based applicants must reside outside Wyoming and Illinois)
- Initial schedule: 9:00am–5:30pm PST for first two weeks of training; then 9:00am–5:30pm in your local timezone
- Requires personal computer (Chromebook, Mac with macOS 11+, or Windows 10+)
- Reliable smartphone access required
Compensation & Benefits
- $45–100 per hour based on experience, education, and location
