Software Engineer, Full Stack
Salary: $255,000 - $405,000 per year, plus equity

We're seeking an enthusiastic full-stack engineer who enjoys developing new products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You'll be instrumental in integrating our advanced language models into products used by millions globally—from individual users exploring ChatGPT to enterprises leveraging our API.
You'll collaborate closely with research teams, gather direct user feedback, and play a critical role in driving our technology forward and scaling its adoption.
Lead end-to-end development of new features for ChatGPT and OpenAI API.
Engage directly with users to understand their challenges and craft effective solutions.
Collaborate with researchers to refine and iterate on cutting-edge models.
Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, research, operations) to build innovative products.
Ensure applications are optimized for scalability and performance.
5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally at technology-driven organizations.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React, along with other web technologies.
Competence in backend development (we primarily use Python).
Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
Interest in AI and machine learning (prior direct experience is beneficial but not required).
Ability to adapt quickly in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
