About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Human Data team, you will help improve cutting-edge AI systems by solving complex programming problems. You will build, maintain, and manage large codebases while showing AI models how to handle difficult coding challenges.

You’ll work closely with technical teams to find gaps in our AI models and develop solutions. This role requires both strong programming skills and a willingness to learn about AI models, including how they are built and used.


What You’ll Do
  • Manage codebases written in languages like Python, Rust, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, and Go.
  • Review and improve AI-generated code to meet high standards for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Work with different teams to assess and refine AI performance.

What You Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Experience with at least one of these languages: Python, Rust, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.

What We Prefer (Bonus Qualifications)
  • 2+ years of experience in software development with large codebases.
  • Strong online reputation on platforms like Stack Overflow.
  • Proven contributions to open-source projects.
  • Achievements in programming competitions (e.g., high ranking on Codeforces or success in ICPC).
  • Experience with tools and systems like SQL, Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, gRPC, AWS, etc.

Job Details
  • Hours: Flexible, may include evenings and weekends based on team needs.

  • Hourly Rate: $55–$65 (based on skills, experience, and knowledge).
