K-12 Educator (AI Safety) | $50–55/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with one of the world's leading AI research labs to recruit experienced K-12 STEM and Humanities educators. In this role, you will apply your classroom expertise and pedagogical knowledge to help develop safer, more effective large language models — shaping the future of AI in education.

What You'll Do

You will leverage your teaching experience to provide insights that guide AI development, ensuring large language models reflect how expert educators and students engage with AI tools in real learning environments.

Requirements

• Licensed teacher in the United States or internationally
• 3+ years of full-time classroom teaching experience
• Master's degree in Education or a STEM/Humanities subject area
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate teaching strategies
• Passion for education and meaningful contribution to AI safety

Role Details

• Immediate hiring with rolling start dates
• 10–20 hours per week, with potential to expand up to 40 hours/week

Screening Process

Applicants will complete a 2-hour assessment evaluating clarity of thought, attention to detail, and project readiness.

Please note: Personal tutors without formal classroom teaching experience will not be considered for this role.
